Reward employees for rendering exceptional performance

Kabul, December 08, 2010: Afghanistan, a 100% owned subsidiary of Etisalat UAE has today organized employee rewards and recognition ceremony to acknowledge the performance of outstanding employees.

The ceremony was held at the Etisalat Afghanistan office, Kabul. Etisalat Afghanistan Mr. Saeed Hamad Al Hamli, Chief Human Resources Officer, Mr. Ismail Taha as well as other senior officials of the company attended this ceremony.

29 Afghan employees have been rewarded with the Employee of the Month awards for rendering exceptional performance in their respective areas. Etisalat Afghanistan is highly cognizant of rewarding its local afghan work force for their extra ordinary efforts.

Mr. Saeed Al Hamli, Etisalat Afghanistan speaking on the occasion said, “Today’s ceremony is manifestation of EA’s long standing credo to incentive our local people to let them be an active partner in the growth and development of Etisalat here in this country. We consider recognition and motivation as the key lever of performance enhancement as well as building positive morale in the work environment.”

It is pertinent to mention here that 90 percent of EA staff comprises of local Afghans. The company has recently launched Employee Succession program. Under this program the existing local Afghan employees shall be trained to help them assume the positions of responsibilities within Etisalat Afghanistan and other Etisalat subsidiaries in future.
